Take an early morning fishing trip, then spend the rest of the day on the warm sandy beach, build sand castles, or take a dip in the lake. With the great fishing, sandy beach and swimming area, boating, and hiking trails, it is the perfect place for your family vacation or fishing trip. Lake Apsey has Northern Pike, Pickerel (Walleye), Perch, Smallmouth Bass and Largemouth Bass, and various Pan Fish, all waiting for you. There is a fish cleaning station and freezer storage for your convenience. Lake Apsey Resort is in a very quiet area, just south of Espanola, and north of Manitoulin Island. Take a day trip to Manitoulin Island through the beautiful LaCloche mountains, or to Sudbury, where you will find Science North and the new Dynamic Earth, where you can go underground and discover the history of mining. With the sandy beach, shallow swimming area, raft-mounted pool slide in the lake, and playground, (teeter-totter, swings and slide), it is great for the little ones!
